Wahoo’s Fish Taco comes Victoria Ward Center in Honolulu Hawaii. Those of you from California were more than likely elated to find out that Wahoo’s Fish Taco decided to open a store here in the islands. I have never experienced the “California-Mexican food with a blend of Brazilian and Asian Flavors” before last weekend. This isn’t to say I haven’t eaten my fair share of Mexican food. I lived a mere 30 feet from a great fast food Mexican place in Ann Arbor during college.
Wahoo’s has a great menu with actually Fish Tacos serving Wahoo or Mahi-Mahi depending on availability. They also offer steak, chicken, teriyaki versions, shrimp, blackened, sauteed, and tons of other burrito, rice and bean combinations. Their claim is that they offer a quick and healthy alternative to the other fast foods out there. When I was there I ordered the Carne Asada Banzai Burrito and even at 1215 Cals it only had 22 grams of fat with 60 grams of protein. For those of you looking for a good diet choice that seems good to me. Plus the food was delicious.
Wahoo’s Hawaii also offers a commemorative Paul Frank designed plastic cup that you can bring back and receive a refill anytime for only $0.50. Good deal. In addition to this they offer several beers that hadn’t been decided on at the time we were there. (It was the first week.)
All in all we would recommend stopping by to try them out. Conveniently located on the corner of Ward and Auahi street by Sports Authority.
