Looking for a fun thing to do in Waikiki this weekend. The 21st Ala Wai Challenge will be held on January 29th, 2006 to benefit the Waikiki Community Center. The event is held in the Ala Wai Community Park on the Diamond Head side of the Community Center. in Waikiki on the island of Oahu. Last year 24 teams competed in the event with 12 athletes each in 3 different events. The venue couldn’t be better for spectators as they can line the Ala Wai Canal on both sides. Last year the Star Bulletin reported visitors were picked up in the canoe’s for a ride across the Ala Wai.

There will be events for the whole family and we hear good food as well. Come on into town if you’re not already there and enjoy the festivities.
