Tomorrow Sunday Feb. 12, 2006 the Pro Bowl will be played once again in beautiful Hawaii on the island of Oahu. Every year thousands of visitors come to the islands to get away from the cold of the mainland and watch the best in the NFL duke it out in an NFC - AFC grudge match. Several Steelers and Seahawks players will be on the field so we’ll have to keep an eye out for any left over bad blood between the two teams.
The players who did make it have been enjoying the week long event put on by local radio, TV, and businesses. From the All-Star Practices to the block party to the Pro Am golf tournament to the Pro Bowl concert the south shore of Oahu is a buzz the happenings for everyone to enjoy.
Tomorrows action gets kicked off early at 10 a.m. lasting until 12:30 p.m. with the Official Pro Bowl Tailgate Party at Richardson Field VIEW MAP. The field is near the stadium so just follow the crowds or the map as stated previously. (The basics from Waikiki are to get on McCully and follow it towards the mountains (mauka) to H1 and go west (Ewa) on H1 and follow the signs to the stadium.)
Next will be the Pro Bowl Pregame show at Aloha Stadium starting at 12:15 p.m. This should be very entertaining as it is every year. There will be festivities in the parking lot to keep those of you busy who don’t have a ticket try and get one to enjoy the inside action.
Then at 1:00 p.m. the scheduled kick-off will take place for the 2006 NFL Pro Bowl at Aloha Stadium. Come one come all and enjoy everything this great event has to offer. Being a hardcore Packer fan I must root for the NFC but will cheer both teams on so as to have a repeat action packed game as there was last year with Peyton Manning’s aerial attack.
