All shores of Oahu continue to have good size surf although the weather could cooperate a little more. Being winter that means rainy season for the Hawaiian islands. We couldn’t think of a better outside activity than surfing while it’s raining. You’re going to get wet anyway’s and as long as you stay away from sharky waters (they tend to like it when it’s overcast), then why not get wet while catching a few waves.
The South Shore of Oahu is expected to hold at 2-4 feet Hawaiian scale (3-7 foot faces) for the next few days while the North Shore continues it’s amazing season with 5-10 foot Hawaiian Scale wave heights for the remainder of the week. Both east and west facing shores are expected to catch some swells of their own with wrap from both the north and south swells.
As long as the wind holds off we see good surf for the island and hopefully a sign of things to come. Those of us on the south shore have been waiting patiently for some waves to come our way.
Aloha,
E
