Lava Pouring into the Ocean

Lava, which is constantly flowing on the Big Island of Hawaii has sprung a large and beautiful leak down a clif side and into the ocean. Sometimes the flow is large and magnificant, sometimes the flow is small in not even noticable.

This time around the lava flowing borders on large and magnificant.

A new lava flow began late in June (only a few weeks ago) and at 2,300 feet and has been heading down towards the ocean ever since waiting to pour out and create a little bit of steam.

For those of you heaidng over to the Big Island in the near future don’t worry about waiting for that large lava flow to reach the ocean, there’s a bit of lava causing a bit of steam as you read this. On the East Lae’apuki cliff lava began gusing out and causing massive amounts of steam to create brilliance of gas an popping rock.

Check it out if you’re heading that way.
