As most of us know, the popular Honolulu City Lights ceremony held at Honolulu Hale brings out both families and tourists to observe the Christmas lights and decorations, along with the infamous Hawaiian style Mr. and Mrs. Clause. To accommodate those who live on the windward side of the islands, especially for those who can’t make it to downtown for the Honolulu City Lights, the very first Windward City Lights festival will take place tonight (11/30/06).
If you live on the windward side, make sure to check it out. The festival starts at 6pm this evening at the Kaneohe fire station (45-910 Kamehameha Highway). The tree in front of the fire station will be lit at 6:30pm by Mayor Mufi Hannemann.
Cookies and punch will be served along with entertainment from the Fire Department band.
