The 2006 Honolulu Marathon takes place this Sunday, December 10th.
All the Hotels in Waikiki and surrounding area are sold out due to Marathon attracting some 25,000 people just to run in it, as well as the U2 - Pearl Jam Concert at Aloha Stadium which takes place tonight! If you gotta go somewhere, leave early.
The Honolulu Marathon will be concluding it’s free Expo today at the Hawaii Convention Center which is located at 1801 Kalakaua Avenue. The Honolulu Marathon Expo is free to the public and will run from 9 am to 5 pm. They have booths with all the latest Nike and other running gear, crazy new drinks, massage therapists, and all the apparel you could ever want to look good while you run.
Head over to see if you can catch a glimpse of some of the big name runners who will be running tomorrow. Also see if you can see Kelly Hu who will be running in the marathon as well to raise money and awareness for reef health and education.
Enjoy the festivities and cheer on the runners. Also good luck to all those who have decided to compete in the Honolulu Marathon this year.
