With Martin Luther King Jr.’s holiday creeping up this coming Monday, celebration will start friday and continue through the weekend up until Monday.

For those who are free on Friday, the Iolani Palace will hold a concert at 11:30am. This concert will honor both King and Queen Lili’uokalani. The Royal Hawaiian Band will be providing the concert.

On Sunday at 3pm, the Honolulu Hale Civic Center Grounds’ Mission Memorial Auditorium will hold a musical entitled “Lift Every Voice”. A Candlelight Bell Ringing Ceremony will take place at 6:30pm following the musical, also located at the Honolulu Hale Civic Center Grounds.

On Monday, the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Parade will begin at 9am at Magic Island by Ala Moana and end at Kapiolani Park. The Unity Rally will be held at Kapiolani Park from 11am to 5pm and will include food and entertainment.
