Traffic Accidents…What’s Going On?

OK, I’m starting to get a little irritated at the recent increase in traffic accidents during this new year…it hasn’t been a month yet folks!

First, elderly people are getting killed left and right from careless drivers. The worst was the most recent elderly who died from head trauma when a Lexus who tried to avoid an accident from an SUV who turned when they weren’t supposed to, ran into the sidewalk, knocked over a newspaper post which fell right onto the elderly woman’s head.

Then just recently, a 17 year old boy in an SUV tried to run away from cops, and BEFORE a pursuit even began, he crashed into a sedan with two woman, killing both instantly. Both women had families, and a tragedy resulted due to a careless driver.

Then as I was watching the news this morning, ANOTHER accident occurred in Kalihi when a truck slammed into a bus.

I really don’t know what’s going on, but it seems that accidents are happening every day. I noticed a decrease in the amount of speeders, probably due to the new speeding law, but for some reason, accidents are increasing.

We all have to be a little more careful and considerate of others on the road. You may not only risk your life, but the life of others. Please be more aware of your surroundings, and be safe out there.

The amount of bus accidents, crashes or whatever in the States & India is amazing. I track the news alerts for them to post info about the UK ones on my site and feel that there are hardly any British ones.
