If you work in an office, just be glad that you do considering the crazy winds and rain that dropped on us yesterday. Don’t think it will be going away soon either. According to the National Weather Service, the same high winds will continue through today and onto tomorrow as well.
They report that the winds will be in the 25-30 mph range with gusts of up to 60 mph (source: Honolulu Advertiser). The gusts will come from the southwest end of the island. Rain will be expected on Thursday as the front continues to move towards the Big Island.
It is looking better for this weekend, as the rain and winds should die down by Friday. This will be good for those who want to attend the Punahou Carnival this weekend. But as we all know, the Punahou Carnival is always plagued with rain…which never really stop the crowd from going.
Stay safe out there, and drive carefully.
