Apple Store to Open In Kahala Mall

Just last week I went down to Kahala Mall to run some errands, and I noticed that the Apple Store was in the process of being built right next to what used to be Foot Locker. I was at first surprised that they would open one in Kahala, since Kahala Mall isn’t exactly a crowded mall like Ala Moana is. Then I remembered that a lot of school kids go there, expecially high school kids. Now I feel Apple correctly positioned their store in the right place…a place where kids will go in and look at the cool new products Apple puts out, especially the iPods.

Well, the store will officially open tomorrow at 10am. This is the second Apple Store that I know of, other than the store located in the Ala Moana Center which opened back in 2003. This should be an exciting opening, and I feel that the Apple Store in Kahala Mall will do very well. With the type of people who frequent Kahala Mall, mostly students and kids, the appeal of the Apple Store will definitely lure them in.

I think I’m going to stop by this weekend and check it out. The kid in me just wants to check out the new products…and try them out of course.

Hey, Anthony, did you make it down? It’s a bigger store than Ala Moana, with a wide-open layout. I posted a video of the grand opening festivities at YouTube. And of course there are several photos on Flickr!
