As if possible hate crimes weren’t enough, the news of an 83 year old man stabbing his wife to death on Sunday boggles my mind as well. 83? I just can’t imagine someone that old killing someone, especially their own wife.

According to news reports on television and the radio, the couple from Canada visit Hawaii annually and stay at their time share condo at the Ilikai Hotel in Waikiki. Police received a call from neighbors when they heard loud yelling to what they thought was a domestic dispute. By the time police arrived, the husband opened the door and told the police that he had killed his 82 year old wife by stabbing her to death. She had died from stab wounds to the neck, lung, and heart.

The husband was arrested and bail was set at $1 million.

Wow. There’s no other word to describe this crime. It’s hard to believe that someone so old can kill their loved one in such a hedious way.
