Update on Dog! According to the Hawaii Reporter, Rep Gene Ward of Hawaii Kai has issued the House Concurrent Resolution, otherwise known as the “Chapman Resolution” to keep Dog and his associates from being extradicted to Mexico. Below is the excerpt from Rep Gene Ward (Source: Hawaii Reporter):

Honolulu, Hawaii — I introduced a House Concurrent Resolution requesting that the Hawaii State Legislature take a stand for “Dog” Duane Chapman and ask the government and courts of Mexico to drop its extradition charges against him.In 2006, Chapman was arrested in Mexico for capturing Max Factor heir, Andrew Luster and bringing him back to the United States to serve the 124 years prison term handed down by the State of California. ‘Dog’ Chapman is a hero for what he has done for America, but has been portrayed as a villain for what the Mexican authorities have accused him of doing, by bringing serial rapist Luster back across the border.
The hearing on the resolution requesting the President of Mexico and the Second District Court and the Second District Court of Guadalajara, to drop extradition charges against TV Bounty Hunter Duane “Dog” Chapman, is scheduled to be heard by the International Affairs Committee, Wednesday, February 28, 2007 in Room 329, at 8:30 a.m.
Testimony may be faxed to Committee Chair, Representative Rida Cabanilla at 808-586-6081.
Justice has been served in the capture of Andrew Luster by ‘Dog’ Chapman. Chapman is a member of our Hawaii community and deserves our support. This resolution is the very least we can do for him. We invite all supporters to come to the State Capitol to testify for him.
Although the hearing from his letter states that it will be held on February 28, it is actually held today and heard by the House of Representatives according to the Honolulu Advertiser.
I’m am extremely proud of Rep Gene Ward, especially since I am familiar with how great of a job he does in the Hawaii Kai area (I grew up in Hawaii Kai before I moved into town). He has taken a stand for Dog and his associates, and believe, like myself, that Dog doesn’t deserve this. I know there are a lot of people who will think this is a public outcry and that Dog should be sent to prison, but I feel that the good he has done definitely outweighs his criminal past. He has moved on with his life and is trying to do good for the society. I believe if A&E pulled his show, he would still do what he does best, which is bounty hunting to get criminals off the streets.
I hope today’s hearing goes well and that the legislators will support the resolution to help Dog from being extradicted to Mexico. Thank you Rep Gene Ward. Your efforts will not go unnoticed.

I live in England and watch the Dog on Sky TV.I think that if this is allowed to happen to a man like Dog, who had the balls to do something no one else would or could, then the US has got no backbone. By not standing up to the mexicans you also need look at yourselves as the rest of the world will then see the US. Weak.

Im 4m Ireland. I don’t think tat u can arrest a man like duane ‘Dog’ Chapman. I watch d show all d time and i lv it. He has done so many things 4 ppl. N 2 arrest a man across d border should b no different. I f he commited a crime he should go down 4 it no matter wat part of d country he’s from….

Oh Lord,i hope this post shows up,i have commented 3 times,typed and typed and typed……..LoL……..Where they went i’ll never know.
But anyhow i am actually doing flips cause i wanted them back on so bad! Ever since the story broke i had looked for sites or an email so i could write Dog & Beth myself!!!Im gonna try and remember everything i wrote before so bear with me.
First of all,let me say ive never had a biased or racist bone in my body ever and god’s honest truth ive had officials and figures of authority
to be very rude to me because i never check the little box that asks for race?—I always leave them blank and i write beside the box “Human”.
Everybody in the entire world has made a comment they didn’t mean literalllllly!!!
And No my best friend isn’t black.LoL
Growing up i was never around a different race at all,just in letcher co.ky it was something never seen,i don’t know why but still i had heard people say the “N” word but honestly i didn’t look at the word that way!!!!!Kids in school called each other that!!!!
And the way i look at it,god made all of ussssssss & thats what makes us all different,just like snowflakes,why Lord,it would be a boring world if everyone were the same!
The way it has gotten lately,well the past 10 yrs.or so it seems to me that people are to quick to use that excuse and i think some people use it because its the only way to get their way!!!
There are racists in the world,but dog and beth aren’t…..no way!!!!
I don’t even know if i felt this way only a few days ago but what made me think about it is a statement made by rosie o’donnel after this happened to dog………and i cannot believe she made such a lame statement but im not quoting exactly but i could!!!! but she said dog was basically trash because he lived in a trailer park,wellllll hmmmmmm i wonder what her excuse is then………..and iv’e lived in trailer parks too and yea,that was very rude of her but you didn’t see me,dog and beth and the rest go on tv and say “ohhh my gosh,thats just about killed me,its like a punch in the gutssssssss,lord i have to live feeling the damage the rest of my lifeeeeeeeeee,give me a breakkkkkkkk!!!!!
And what’s even funnier than that is everyone complains about to much crime going on…….and then turn right around and hate the people who fight it,and try to help!!! “whats wrong with that picture!!
Just like now everybodys doggin Mark Furhman,saying he’s racist…….bull crap,Thats what they do when someone doesn’t want to go to jail they look to see who else on the case they can smear!!!!!!!! Because they get good money for winning!!!
And to be quite honest I’m waiting for the news to come in any day now,that DP isn’t white because Mark’s figuring out more leads than any of them!!!!!!!!!
So i hope when Mark figures the case out,That dog gets to go “Catch” him.
