It’s that time of year again all you beer fans living in or visiting the Hawaiian Islands. The Kona Brewers Festival will be held this weekend on the Big Island of Hawaii.
The beer festival has actually been going on for the better half of the last week with micro breweries, home brewers, and large breweries submitting their brews to the judges.
The main event, which myself and some friends will be attending, takes place this saturday at the King Kamehameha’s Kona Beach Hotel outside and hopefully not in the rain, as it looks like the Kona winds might be bringing some of thier always possible storms.
The celebration is a benefit for local organizations where brewers that submitted to the contests as well as local chefs get together to share their creations with guests. Which essentially means, we pay for beer, food, and a great time while volunteers make sure we fill up on all three and different charities around Hawaii get to benefit from the great times.
If you’re into beer and can get away for the weekend, head on over to the Big Island and enjoy all the people and the buzz.
And don’t forget to enjoy the beer!
