As you can see from the picture on the left (Source: www.hawaiianbarbecue.com) there will be a corned beef musubi eating contest held tomorrow at Kahala Mall from 11Am to 1PM.

There will be 10 contestants who will compete to eat as many musubis as they can to win a grand prize of $1000 and a year’s supply of Pepsi along with other great prizes.  The rest of the 9 contestants will receive a L&L prize pack for their efforts.

The deadline to apply for the competition has already passed, but you can still go to Kahala Mall and watch the contestants duke it out.

This could be a great way to just watch another eating contest “local” style with musubis instead of hot dogs!  And to top it off, the musubis are flaked with flourescent green furikake to help celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.  Check it out!
