For those of you who are Dog the Bounty Hunter fans, and believe in what he does, go and support him today at the state capitol. Dog and his wife, Beth, will both be honored today at the floor of the state House of Representatives for their contributions “in helping to keep Hawaii safe” (Source: The Honolulu Advertiser).
This is good news to some and bad news for others, especially from reading the comments (114 comments as of today) we received on the story of Dog being extradited to Mexico. Those who don’t really care for Dog, don’t think he’s much of a hero, or feels that he should go to jail probably won’t go to the capitol today to support Dog and his wife. On the other hand, those who do support Dog and his actions, will be delighted to know that they can visit and support their hero at the capitol today at noon.
Perhaps this is more publicity for Dog. Perhaps this is to show the world that being “thanked” and “honored” by the state House shows what kind of person he is. Perhaps this is a way to show Mexico that Dog is not a running fugitive, but a good person. This could possibly be a publicity stunt to gain more recognition, with the hopes that the Mexico government will change their mind about Dog.
Then again, maybe it’s none of that. Maybe the state is genuinely thankful for what Dog and his associates have done. Maybe they are proud that Dog is able to do things others would not normally do. Maybe they are thankful that Dog is taking ice heads off the streets. No matter what Dog has done in the past, he is rectifying his ways by giving back to the community. And I think this deserves honor despite his past. Let’s look at the good he has done for the past few years…he has changed his life for the better, and we should commend him for that.
Again, if you want to support Dog, you can see him at the state capitol at noon when he will be honored.

I am extremely pleased the state is honoring Dog and Beth for the community work they have performed, as well as the fact that they’re working to get the horrible drugs, specifically “ice” off the streets in the state of Hawaii.
Dog must be admired for his humanitarian spirit, as well as the fact that he has turned his life around after a very very rough start. How many of us experiencd a terrible start and have managed to turn our lifes around? I would venture to say several have.
Suffice it to say, I’m pleased for Dog and Beth and I wish their family and them peace and a wonderful future. I absolutely know in my heart Duane, Leland and Youngblood will not be extridated to Mexico. The American Public, such as myself, will not allow that to happen. I will not allow that to happen!

I have watched their show ever since it came on. I feel he has done alot of good for his people in Hawaii. I cannot understand why he caught a visious man that was hurting women but yet they are trying to put him in jail. For people that believe in prayers they can be answered. Duane you and Beth are in my daily prayers as is Lelan, and YoungBlood. I am from North Carolina and I wish we had you in our state. Thank you for being who and what you are and stand for. Your children are so precious and too young to be going through something like this. It seems like evil prevails over good alot of times but this is where our faith steps in.My prayers are with you daily and those precious children.
