Donate Your Old Cell Phones to Help the Fight Against Domestic Violence

According to the Honolulu Advertiser, you can donate your old cell phone and accessories at the Hawaii and Nevada baseball game on Sunday at 1pm at the Aloha Stadium.  The old phones, batteries, etc. will be refurbished/recycled and sold to help the fight domestic violence.  Verizon Wireless and the UH athletic department are teaming up to raise money for their Verizon HopeLine program.

Those of you who are regular baseball fans should turn in your old cell phones and accessories, because this is a good cause.  And for those who always wanted to see a baseball game, and have an old cell phone lying around, make sure you head down to the Aloha Stadium this Sunday.

Verizon Wireless has also been awarded an Outstanding Corporate Contribution Award by the Domestic Violence Clearinghouse and Legal Hotline for Verizon’s contribution in the area of domestic violence.  Verizon has donated over $100,000 to fight domestic violence by providing phones and airtime to domestic violence response agencies in Hawaii.  What a great company!

We all know domestic violence happens.  Let’s continue to help support those who are victims of domestic violence.
