Iolani School Fair Tomorrow

According to the Honolulu Advertiser, the Iolani School fair will be held tomorrow at the school’s campus starting at noon.  The event is open to the public and will run through Saturday until 10pm on both days.

Like most fairs, there will be entertainment, food booths, games, and attractions.  Like the past Iolani fairs, there will be no carnival rides that you normally see at the Punahou Carnival.  Instead, there will be cooking demonstrations, art shows, silent auctions, crafts, and produce and plant sales.

What about the food?  Well, the Advertiser states that Cafe Ole will be there to serve fajitas, tamales, taco salads and burritos among other things.  And of course, everyone wants Portuguese bean soup, malasadas, and Hawaiian plate lunches.

There will also be two movies playing, one on each day.  “Employee of the Month” will play tomorrow night at 7:15pm on the big screen on the Iolani School football field, and “Happy Feet” on Saturday night.

Catch local acts B.B. Shawn, Kelly “Boy” DeLima ‘Ohana, ‘Ekolu, Ka’ipo, and the ‘Opihi Pickers.

Head down with family and friends.  It should be a good time.
