According to KHON news, random drug testing for teachers are now being required, especially since in the past few months, many teachers have been caught either using drugs or dealing drugs.

I think this is fair.  The quality of our children’s education depends on the teachers of today.  If the teachers are doing things on the side such as dealing drugs or even using drugs, it can be detrimental to the child’s future.  I, for one, would never allow a teacher who deals or uses drugs to teach my child.  I’m sure everyone will agree with me.

By implementing the random drug testing, teachers need not worry if they didn’t do anything bad.  And those who are dealing or using drugs should be punished for endangering others.  I am an advocate of this, and I think it’s a good way to make sure the students are safe.

I think this is a step in the right direction and hopefully teachers will think twice before possibly ruining a child’s life.
