I was recently contacted to write this sponsored review of Hawaiian Airlines whom I’ve traveled with several times around the Hawaiian islands. The interesting thing about this review is that I learned a few things about the extra services Hawaiian Air provides that I wasn’t aware of prior.
Now I do know that Hawaiian Air offers not only inter island flights (prices at time of writing are hovering around $19!) but they also have mainland flights available all over the west coast as well as several international stops. For those of you who love mileage programs this can be a valuable extra when your saving up.
I also found at that in addition to flights they are now offering vacation planning services to help you plan your whole vacation here in the Hawaiian islands. They have the ability to build a trip for you complete with flight, hotel, car and activities all available in their Hawaii vacation packages section. It’s always nice to get everything you need in one place.
Another nice thing that I’m learning about buying direct from an airlines site is that you have more flexibility if you need to make adjustments to your itinerary. While buying from Travelocity or Expedia is convenient, I just haven’t been seeing a deep discount difference as opposed to buying straight from the airline. Plus, buying from one of those “discount brokers” also ties in a ton of hassle to your ticket. It’s a pain to get it changed, upgrade, or even get a refund for a canceled flight.
One last thing is that Hawaiian Air is also providing great content for travelers by including destination guides within their newly redesigned site. Always a plus for those wanting more information.

Wow, that’s goodstuff. $19 for flights? Man when I was there I couldn’t buy a flight for $119 inter-island. I need to check my Hawaiian miles in the account and see where I stand. Maybe a trip back to Hawaii is in order.

Yeah, prices have come down a ton. Ever since go! airlines has come in. It’s nice to be able to go to outer islands and not break the bank!
