Resource for Planning a Destination Wedding

Planning a wedding to an island destination, more commonly referred to as Destination Weddings can be a lot of hassle. Especially if you take on the task of helping to coordinate your friends and relatives vacations to come and see you get married.

How do I know? Because my fiance and I are planning just that, a destination wedding to the destination spot where we live, Hawaii. It’s a lot of hassle, but in some ways good hassle. Planning the catering, the dj, the tents, the ceremony, blah, blah, the list goes on. It’s a lot to do. Throw in that you or your attendees may not live there, and it’s a lot to think about.

For those of you planning a wedding to a destination spot I was recently asked to sponsor a review of a wedding site just for these types of wedding occassions. The site is called The Beach Wedding Guide and it’s made specifically to help brides and grooms plan and coordinate their destination wedding in the Caribbean.

Now if you’re going to have your dream wedding in the Caribbean I would say, no doubt head to this site. It’s got a ton of information and planning guides (you wouldn’t believe all the things that go into a wedding) and you can even set up your own website.

But those of you who read this blog, mainly people looking for Hawaii info, might be asking, how the heck does this site help me. Well, aside from the direct resources, the planning information can be invaluable. There are a lot of differences between having a traditional in a church in a reception hall ceremony. If you want it on an island you need ideas from people who’ve planned outdoor island weddings. The more tips you can get the better.

So check it out, whether your planning a Hawaii Wedding or planning a Caribbean Wedding. Every little bit helps.
