Tonight I was watching local news on multiple stations, KHON, KITV, and KGMB, as usual flipping through the channels.  Did I missed all the local news?  All of the news they talked about were not local at all: a car accident in Philadelphia, whales in California, recycling in Japan, some guy who paints with ketchup and french fries… (Wow, I said….sarcastically…) 

I watch the local news to get the LOCAL NEWS, not to find out what is going on around the world.  I have much better alternative sources for the world news.  Okay, the whole news programs are about 35 minutes of which 5 minutes are for sports news.  Taking off about 10-12 minutes for commercials, they are left with 18-20 minutes of news time.  Do we really not have enough local news to fill up 20 minutes? 

Maybe no news is a good news… Hey, what was the huge smoke that I saw today around Waikele……?
