Kam Bowling Closing

With the influx of new stores from the mainland, other local business establishments are moving or closing down.  The next establishment to close down is Kam Bowling in the Kamehameha Shopping Center.  They are making room for Walgreens to move in.  With Walgreens now moving into about 3 locations, not only are establishments closing, but competitors like Longs Drugs need to watch out.

It is sad though that Kam Bowl has to close.  I liked Kam Bowl a lot.  OK, I really suck at bowling, and I’ve only broke over 100 twice in my life, but it’s still fun.  Kam Bowl was a fun, clean, and safe place to bowl as well.  Now the options are really limited.

Many other bowling alleys have closed, without any new ones opening.  This means we are only limited to certain areas to bowl.  With Kam Bowl closing, the only bowling alley getting attention is Aiea Bowl, especially with their cosmic bowling nights.  Another popular area is the bowling alley on base, but it’s hard to get a lane unless you served in the military or are with people who have military ID.

So I guess now I have to drive to Aiea for my bowling fun.  Hopefully they don’t close this one down.  If they do, I probably wouldn’t know where to bowl anymore.

Do we need to go to the mainland to bowl now? Damn, when can I get 300 again?
