Sunset on the Beach This Weekend

If you don’t have anything to do tomorrow or Sunday night, head down to Queen’s Beach in Waikiki and enjoy an evening with Sunset on the Beach.  For those of you who know about this event, they used to play movies every weekend, but because of high costs to run the event, they have now decreased it to one weekend a month.

Tomorrow night’s showing is Flushed Away, an computer animated feature about a rat who is flushed down to the sewers of London.  Sunday night’s movie is Night at the Museum starring Ben Stiller.

Both movies start at 7:30pm with festivities starting at 4pm.  Usually they have performers on stage and food vendors throughout.  This weekend, the food will be prepared by Bale, K’s Restaurant, Leo’s Greek Taverna, M&N’s Treats, Papa John’s Pizza, Royal Hawaiian Hot Dogs, and World’s Greatest Funnel Cakes (Source: Honolulu Advertiser).

Admission is free, but I will advise you to arrive earlier because parking is quite difficult the later you arrive.  Bring a beach mat and/or blanket and have fun!
