Compadres…Tuesday Taco Fiesta! Tacos for $1!!!

After work on a Tuesday afternoon, my coworkers and I decided to head down to Compadres…the Mexican Restaurant at the Ward Centers.  So why Tuesday?  At Compadres, they have an event called Tuesday Taco Fiesta, where they have freshly made tacos for only $1.  Yes, you read that right, $1.

Your choices include ground beef, shredded chicken, and bean.  Each taco comes with a nice thick crunchy taco shell, your choice of filling, mixture of lettuce, shredded cheese, and fresh salsa with cilantro.  You can also grab a bunch of jalapeno’s as well.  They are probably the best value you can ever get for a taco, and taste much better than tacos three times their price at other establishments.

Their other special that day are $2.50 uno margaritas and $3 Coronas.  If you opt for a two shot margarita, you’ll be paying $5.

Happy hour lasts from 4-7pm.  I suggest you get there before 5pm, because the line starts to get real long.  So long in fact, that it goes out of the restaurant.  If you intend to drink, you need to make sure that you get a band from the entrance after you show your ID.  This way, you won’t be asked by the waiter/waitresses for your ID.

Also, if you go early, you can snag a table especially if you are coming with a larger group.  Otherwise, if you arrive after 5:30pm, expect to stand and eat your tacos.  Go as early as you can, and it’ll be all good.

So head down to Compadres on Tuesdays and get your fill of tacos!  And not to mention a few margaritas while you’re at it.
