Not to be outdone by Hawaiian Telcom’s super fast internet service, Oceanic Time Warner Cable announced today that it is starting Road Runner Turbo Plus service.
The service will be the fastest available residential internet service available in the Hawaiian islands. The Road Runner Turbo Plus offers up to 15 megabits per second whereas Hawaiian Telcom’s fastest service available is 11 megabits per second.
The new service will cost subscribers $54.05 which is slightly higher than the $49.99 that Hawaiian Telcom charges for their fastest service. Although we don’t expect many people to need this faster service and from the comments in the Honolulu Advertiser article neither do Oceanics big shots, it is nice to see.
Reason being, as the service gets faster and faster, that will bring up the lower services offered and with the competition between the two companies, hopefully it will bring down the prices!
