Starting in December of 2008 there will be a new way to see the islands. A luxury adventure cruise will be starting adding to the 3 current Hawaii cruises run by Norwegian Cruise Lines.
The 39 passenger 150 foot luxury yacht is going to be run by American Safari Cruises who already run similar routes in Alaska, Mexico, and the Pacific Northwest. The cruise is slated to be an 8 day 7 night trip that will be able to adapt to the changes in wildlife around the islands as well as changes in the weather, says the company.
The trip will consist of the islands east of Oahu. The Big Island, Maui, Lanai, and Molokai. The cruise will also get close to Kahoolawe which can’t be visited as well as stopping at Molokini.
Prices for the trip range from $4,000 to $7,000 per person depending on the time of year and room type. If you’re a big company, or have a lot of money and are looking to rent out the whole ship you can do so for a measly $175,000 to $210,000.
Just another way for people to enjoy the islands.
