Do you realize how lucky we are to live in paradise?  I returned from my first winter excursion to the North Shore and, as I sat on the shoulder of Laniakea’s, trying to catch a few waves of my own, I couldn’t help but gawk at my surroundings (and the MANY amazing rides by fellow surfers).  Even on a small day with overcast skies it’s easy to get lost in Hawaii’s infinite natural beauty.

So, as you ponder what your New Year’s Resolution might be, I would suggest one thing: stick with something small.  I’ve discovered it really is the littlest things that bring the greatest joy.

My resolution: To finish the writing project that I’ve had looming over my head.  It needs a deadline and it will be in the year 2008.

May the coming year bring you happiness no matter how big or small your resolution might be!
