Colt Brennan is off to the NFL

Finally! On the second day of the NFL draft, Colt Brennan was picked in the 6th round by the Washington Redskins. Scouting reports showed his light slowly fading during pre-Draft workouts, but let’s hope Colt shows them wrong and sticks it out long enough to start in the NFL someday. Recent hip surgery will keep in on the injured list for some time, so we’re all hoping Colt can bounce back and show everyone what a great, professional quarterback he is.

I was amazed to wake up this morning and see that he wasn’t picked up yet by anyone. After a day at the sand bar I finally got to see that the redskins wised to his potential.

I think if he gets the chance to learn a system in the NFL he could be a great pocket passer. His size is gonna hurt him. Colt is only 6 foot 2 inches but his arm has some great potential. He just needs to show his poise in the pocket and not get scared like he showed in the bowl game this year.

Colt Brennan could definitely be something to reckon in the future. Just needs a chance.

It will be interesting to see how he develops. I ran into Frank Rivers, Jason Rivers’ older brother, a few weeks ago and he said that he was getting a free agent look later this summer. It would be crazy if he ended up in the same place as his brother.
