Hawai’i Healing Garden Festival on Oahu

A great way to recover from theHealing-Garden stress strain of day to day living and to revitalize before the hectic Holiday 2009 Season is to visit the Hawai’i Healing Garden Festival November 21 2009 at the McCoy Pavilion at Ala Moana Beach Park.  A day of healthy fun with workshops, a health fair, educational programs, entertainment, cultural as well as spiritual enrichment, this is an event for all ages, all stages of development.  The Hawai’i Healing Garden Festival is a celebration of the multi-cultural healing arts of Hawai’i, Polynesia, Ayurvedic, Chinese, Japanese, Filipino, others, an opportunity for cultural practitioners and ethno botanists to share their knowledge of Hawai’i’s botanical treasures and cultural ways.

The Hawai’i Healing Garden Festival has already been a “wow” on Maui and Kauai, traveling on to the Big Island of Hawai’i December 19 2009.  The Festival opens on O’ahu at 10AM Saturday November 21 2009 with a Hawai’i’an Pule Prayer.  Among the festival highlights: Wiggly Worm Farming, Little Green Thumbs Children’s Program, Chinese Tea & Qi, Coconut Bowling Contest, an Edible Lei Contest and a “Healthy Hawai’i Expo Health (featuring) Wellness services, natural products, organic goods, and book and plant sale. A non-profit section will feature community groups & educational presenters. This will be open mid morning and support the festival and entertainment. Silent Auction: Benefits the Hawaii Health Guide annual Health and Wellness Scholarship.”

Throughout the event there will be music & entertainment, healing arts & crafts, from 10AM to 6PM, and activities & games, as well as main stage presentations from 10AM to 5PM.
