Ah the joy of celebrating the God Bacchus or Dionysus depending upon your preference for Greek or Roman revelries, or heck, celebrate all ‘pagan’ rites of passage at Bar 35 on Saturday August 28th 2010 starting at 9PM. Presented by 80s POP MUZIK ‘The Toga Party’ will be a night of good natured debauchery with an ever evolving sound track spun by that mistress of music DJ Nocturna aided and abetted by DJ Modboy plus a special guest, DJ Cogswell.
DJ Cogswell also known as Cornflakes spun tunes via KTUH 90.3 FM during the late 1990s with a radio show called ‘Deluxe Accommodations.’ DJ Cogswell moved on to San Antonio, Texas, where ‘Deluxe Accommodations’ continues to enter brains via KSYM 90.1, while DJ Cogswell holds residency at the Thirty Camel Lounge & Bar, where he spins 80s & 90s music, NU-Wave and Trance.
Toga parties are about fun & the fraternity of all kinds of people who simply love to have a good time. They have become an important part of a good university education and are truly best enjoyed with a group of friends and even better when those friends dress for the occasion. On this occasion attendees are encouraged to dress up either as a group of five or less, or solo, adopt a colorful moniker (name) and enter the Toga contest.

Another choice film would be ‘Spartacus” (Cross optional). Ye would also do well to keep in mind the phrase “Beware of Greeks Bearing Gifts.”
