The weather these past few weeks has been anything but paradise; the only thing I wanted to do was stay in-doors, watch movies & drink hot chocolate. I didn’t leave my house for an entire week, because whenever I was just about to leave & drive to an event, the rain started to pour & severely dampened my mood.
When I learned the Melt Food Truck would be at the Electric Car Rally event, I made up my mind that a little rain wasn’t going to keep me in-doors any longer.
I super jazzed when I found street parking right across five of the food trucks parked along Mother Waldron Park & extremely disappointed to discover I accidentally left my coin purse at home. However, I didn’t let that minor set-back prevent me from going to this event; there was tons of sunshine I needed to soak up & delicious food I wanted to devour.
Sometimes making decisions happen during the most inconvenient times. For instance, after I started to enjoy a sweet treat from the Lickety Split ice cream truck, someone announced the parade of cars was about to start. I needed to decide whether I would enjoy my ice cream cone or take pictures of the parade. Who says you can’t have the best of both?
I quickly made my way to the parade, snapped pictures with my right hand & held the remainder of my sweet treat in the other. Everyone that gathered to watch the electric car parade witnessed vehicles throughout history; which started with the horse-drawn carriage, followed by a variety of advancements in technology & ended with innovative electric cars.
I’m looking forward to all the cars that will participate in next year’s electric car rally & I can’t wait to see what Plug in America.org & Blue Planet Foundation have in store for the future.
