Karrie Webb Wins, Michelle Wie Struggles at HSBC Singapore

Karrie Webb who was only 1 stroke back after yesterdays 3rd round of the HSBC Women’s Champions Tournament in Singapore, came out on top today. Chie Arimura, who was one stroke ahead yesterday shot a respectable 1 under 71 while Webb bested her by two strokes and a one stroke overall win with a 69.

Michelle Wie struggled at best the last two days as she followed up a 5 over par yesterday with a bogey filled 3 over par today to finish the tournament 8 over and tied for 40th place. Although she had some high points today with a few birdies she just couldn’t find her groove.

Wie wasn’t alone in the struggling to stay with it category. The course took it’s toll on most of the field as only 13 women shot under par. Considering the rest, Michelle Wie played fairly well for the tourney.

Looks like the Kia Classic in California is next up for Michelle which will be the 21 – 27th of March.
