Everyone likes a good burger. Okay, not everyone, but those of us who do, we need to have a great one to really be satisfied. Not many things are better than biting into a juicy, made-to-order burger that you know is going to be delicious. Few places offer a really, really great burger. However, there are a few spots on Oahu that do indeed offer a selection of delicious, mad-to-order burgers. Here are some of the best on Oahu.
The Counter
The Counter is actually fairly new. It has only been open for a couple of years. However, in that short timeframe, it has already established itself as a leading burger joint on Oahu. Located at Kahala Mall (Next to Chilis) The Counter allows to build your burger exactly how you want it. You do this in steps. This allows for each burger to be cooked and prepared exactly how you like it. They even offer burger building without the bun, kind of a “lower carb” thing.
Kua’Aina Burger
Kua’Aina Burger is a tourist and local favorite and is much like the counter. Each burger can be built exactly how you want. They also have an assortment of shakes and fries to go along with your burger. This way you can make a meal of it. There are two locations, so find one near you and check them out.
Teddy’s Bigger Burgers
Yes I know, they are more of a fast food location, but still, Teddy’s Bigger Burgers offers up some juicy and unique favorites. They have just about every type of burger imaginable, and all of them are made in that special Teddy’s way. Enjoy!
The Shack
The Shack has multiple locations. I would recommend staying away from the Waikiki one, especially at night, but the Hawaii Kai location and the Kailua location are always good to go. The Shack cooks up some pretty tasty burgers, especially good after a day at the beach or while watching a football game. All the fixings are available, so head to a Shack location near you. I recommend the “Bacon and Blue” burger.
Zippy’s
That’s right, I dropped Zippy’s on you. Believe it or not, this local establishment has some very tasty burgers. You can have them cook it how you like, and even though the way you order a burger is more limited here, the overall taste is not. Try the Zippy’s Bacon Burger, it will get your taste buds flowing. There are locations all over the island, so you shouldn’t have any trouble finding them.
