Halloween in Honolulu, Waikiki, and the rest of Hawaii is one of the best events of the year. The street festivals are in full force, the costumes are amazing and it seems like every bar around town is having a Halloween event to top the other. Did we mention that the costumes are amazing?
So put on your best nurse outfit, Harry Potter, or angel outfit and take to the streets. Here’s a great list of places to go on the whole Halloween weekend. However, you can check out all the Halloween Events in Honolulu and Hawaii.

Halloween Hallowbaloo 2011
First up is the four day event of Halloween Hallowbaloo. It officially takes place Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, with a capper in the streets of Waikiki on Monday October 31st.
Thursday, October 27th, 2011 – First Up is the pre-party at NextDoor in Chinatown, Revered Live Performer: Baths is heralded as one of the best live performers to come out of the LA beat scene – a big statement considering his contemporaries in that scene include Flying Lotus and Nosaj Thing.
Friday, October 28th, 2011 – The Aloha Tower Marketplace Event with performances from Clones of the Queen (9pm), Warpaint (10pm – full set), Paper Diamond (12am – full set), Kalalea Fire (performing with Paper Diamond). Come dressed up and ready to party!
Saturday, October 29th, 2011 First up is the famous Nu’uanu Street Festival down in Chinatown Honolulu. Just head down to the Arts at Marks Garage and you’ll be set. Then after that, you can bounce around from bar to club and back again with Club Hallowbaloo in Chinatown. Pay one price and get a wristband for the whole night!
Sunday, October 30th, 2011 – Mellow out with a Halloween Kanikapila at Kaimana Beach Park in Diamond Head. Listen to the music of Guy Cruz and Marc Pearlman to prepare of Waikiki Halloween Madness.
This event is really what everyone is waiting for. The Waikiki Halloween Street Festival where thousands upon thousands of angels nurses, bikinis, goblins, more scantily dressed people than you can think of wander the streets and bars of Waikiki. Don’t miss this event, you’ll want to put on anything that resembles a costume and get to Waikiki.
The always popular Zanzabar Waikiki has one of the largest costume parties in Hawaii with their amazing multi room costume DJ and more party. Don’t miss out, the costumes here are top notch.
2nd Annual Hawaii Halloween Bachata Festival
For the second year in a row the Bachata Dream Vacations will set their Halloween sights on Honolulu and Waikiki as they put on a 5 day event throughout the greater Waikiki. You won’t want to miss their impromptu fun. The Hawaii Halloween Bachata Festival event days are.
Miss Vamp Hawaii 2011
The Miss Vamp Hawaii Contest will take place at Hawaii Theatre on Saturday October 15th, 2011. Don’t miss this great event and find out who will become the 2011 Miss Vamp!
Hawaii Haunted Lagoon at the Polynesian Cultural Center
The haunted lagoon at the Polynesian Cultural Center is an all month Halloween event for the island of Oahu. You can go from September 30th to October 31st. Check out our Honolulu Event Calendar for all the event days and times.
Dole Plantation Haunted Maze
The Dole Plantation has one of the worlds largest mazes (or the largest depending on who you talk to) and they have brought out the gobblins. So head on up to the North Shore of Oahu from October 21st through the 31st from 6 – 10pm and stop in at the Dole Plantation and their spin on Halloween with the Haunted Maze. Monster Dash 5K at Ala Moana
Maybe you’re looking to get a little excercise in that giant transformer costume of yours. If you are, head on down to the Monster Dash 5k at Ala Moana on Saturday October 29th in the early AM. Let us know how you do.
Art After Dark Halloween American Gothic
It’s the end of the month, Halloween Weekend, of course the Honolulu Academy of Arts would be throwing a Halloween themed Art After Dark. Dress in your best costume, but obey the rules, and see what shows up to the event.
Halloween at Hard Rock Waikiki
The Hard Rock Cafe in Honolulu is stuck smack in the middle of Waikiki and what better place to head to with your costume than to a rockin party at the Hard Rock. Well you have two chances to join them for a party. The first is Friday, October 28th, 2011 while the second is on Halloween night. So after you enjoy the Waikiki Street Festival, head to the second Hard Rock party.
Nightmares Live Haunted House at Dole Cannery
Are you looking for a Haunted House in Honolulu? Then look no further than the ultimate Haunted House at Dole Cannery. The Horror will be around from October 14th to the 31st over at the Cannery. Stop in and be scared.
Hollywood Horror and Twisted Fun House in Kaka’ako
The Haunted House on Ala Moana is back and has double the Haunting. Head on down to Kaka’ako in Honolulu near the waterfront beach park and prepare to be scared. The Halloween Haunted House lasts from October 14th through October 31st. Don’t miss this event.
