There are plenty of bars, clubs, restaurants, and beach parks that are having good events. We’ve got our event calendar full, just check out our listing for December 31st, 2011.
New Year’s Eve Parties
Dubbed the “Party of the Year” for Honolulu, the Aloha Tower New Year’s Eve Block Party is going to be bigger than last year, and for those that went, it was big. Enjoy 7 stages, 20 bands and DJs, food, drinks, and new year’s fun in Honolulu. Cost is $20 and the fun goes from 8:00 pm to 2:00 am.
Sarento’s Top of of the Ilikai Hotel in Waikiki is having a Masquerade NYE Ball. Cost is $40 – $125 depending on what you eat and when you get there. Check out the fireworks at Aloha Tower and Waikiki from this spot.
Tiki’s Tiki Drop, as always, goes off during the Holiday’s and this NYE is no different. This event is free and will give you another great vantage point for these Waikiki fireworks everyone’s talking about.
For those high rollers in Waikiki, you may want to head over to the Trump Waikiki where they will be having NYE 2011 Casino night LUX. The minimum cost of this event is $100 and you better believe that everyone will be dressed to impress. And we’re not talking miniskirts and your best Ed Hardy, we’re talking ball gowns and tuxedos, in Hawaii.
The latest nightclub to hit Honolulu The Standard will be hosting a New Year’s Eve bash this year to ring in 2012. There are many levels to enjoy the action with $20 pre-sale tickets, $25 at the door, $50 VIP and $400 group bottle service. The event starts at 8pm and goes all the way to 4am. Don’t miss it.
New Year’s Eve glitters at Apartment 3 with Glitterati New Year’s. The Cherry Blossom Cabaret will be out in full force with glitter, glitter and more glitter. The event is free before 9pm.
Another chic event in Honolulu, which will probably include a few Ed Hardy t-shirts and some miniskirts will be the New Year’s Eve Event at The Modern Honolulu (formerly the Waikiki Edition). This event starts at 7 pm and goes until 4 am with Addiction Nightclub, the Lobby Bar, and the pool deck all getting their far share of fun, food, booze, beer and more. Event cost is $50, $100, and way too expensive for you to be checking where to go on NYE.
As always, Rum Fire Waikiki NYE: Ignite 2012 is going to be big, big and bigger. Last year this party sprawled everywhere. We got there late and enjoyed waay to much fun. $40, goes until 2:30am. Pools, fire, and fun.
Another classy event, Pearl Ultralounge NYE at the Ala Moana Mall will be having a $25 Love event for 2011/2012 New Year’s Eve. Food, drinks, dancing, and more.
If you can’t make it into the Standard NYE party right at restaurant row (or the Waterfront Plaza, whatever they’re calling it) you can head around the corner to the more expensive Bonsai Honolulu NYE Party. It’s $50 and goes from 8 pm to 4 am.
For those of you looking for a good concert you may want to check out NYE at the Hard Rock Honolulu with the Deadbeats live in Waikiki. The cost is super cheap at $10 with drinks, fun, and funky sounds.
New Year’s Eve Dinners
If you’re looking for a dinner and new year’s drinks this year, check out Bali Steak and Seafood NYE dinner at the Hilton Waikiki. Dinners are served at 6pm and 8pm and cost $160 and $190. Four course menu and children menu’s are available.
Maybe if you’re headed to the Pink Party at the Royal Hawaiian you’ll want to also check out, NYE Dinner at Azure. The cost is $175 and includes a lot of food. You also get access to the Pink Party.
Head on down to the Diamond Head side of Waikiki for Dinner at the Hau Tree Lani. The cost is $87 and runs from 5:30 to 9 pm. You can then stumble to the beach and wait for those fireworks, or head out to a Waikiki New Year’s Eve Party.
Always a unique experience for NYE in Honolulu is the NYE Cruise on the Star of Honolulu. This one is dinner, drinks, and a front row seat to the fireworks at Aloha Tower. The cost is $70 to $235 depending on if and what type of dinner you get. You can go from 10:15 to 1:00 am, and then when your done, you can probably wander of to the block party at Aloha Tower for even more fun and drinks.
Bar35 and the Venue in downtown Honolulu, Chinatown area, are having a joint New Year’s Eve party where $20 gets you in to both of them. Bar35 is having NYE Passport Party and the Venue is having a Moulin Rouge NYE Party.
If you’re up on the North Shore of Oahu and don’t want to travel all the way into downtown Honolulu, try out NYE at Surfer the Bar Turtle Bay with speacial DJ, Keala Kennely.
Fireworks New Year’s Eve
Fireworks for New Year’s Eve on Oahu can be see at 3 places. The third one we’re not completely sure but we’re told.
First up is of course the fireworks at Aloha Tower. They can be seen from all over the south shore of Oahu, so pick a good viewing point and sit back and ring in 2012 with a bang!
Next up for those on the Leeward side of Oahu that can’t quite see all the way down to Aloha Tower, you’ll want to check out the Fireworks at Ko Olina. A family friendly event, head on down to one of the restaurants at the Marriot KoOlina Beach Club the JW Mariort or anywhere else in the area and then head down to the Ko Olina Lagoons for some fireworks on the beach.
Most of all, stay safe and have fun and ring in 2012.
