A magnitude 4.9 earthquake shook the Big Island of Hawaii yesterday 10 miles north of Hilo. The earthquake was felt all the way to Oahu and caused minor damage, reported thus far, on the Big Island.
A rockslide was reported on a road near the epicenter but too small to cause any damage or severely stop traffic.
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center issued a statement saying no tsunami was expected to be generated from the earthquake.
