Kona Brew Fest - March 11th, 2006

The 11th Annual Kona Brewers Festival is scheduled for the 11th of March this year, 2006. It will take place in Kona Hawaii on the Big Rock. The Brewers Festival has over 30 Brewers with more than 60 Brews and 25 Chefs from Hawaii's own restaurants. Each Brewer will enter at least 2 brews to be graded and judeged.

There is a fund raising dinner where patrons can taste beer and eat food from the 25 or so chefs. Tickets for that are $80 and go to a great cause, raising money for environmental organizations and awareness groups for the islands.

You can also purchase tickets in advance for the tasting festival for $40. You get a commemorative mug and 4 four ounce tasting coupons to taste some of the brews that are available. A great time will be had by all for a great cause. We hope to see you there.

The last big concert like this was the Eagles which, sold out and had 4 nights just on Oahu. Tickets for U2 are still available as of January 24th, 2006 on Ticketmaster.com but only $165 tickets. The Star Bulletin has reported that there is a chance for a second concert on April 9th in the even of a sell out of the first but details have not been released as of the 24th of January.

The concert should be outstanding for the people of Hawaii as U2 hasn't played in Hawaii for over 20 years. We hope you are able to get tickets and join us as we will be sitting in the general admission seats.
