One weekend my girlfriend and I decided to have a macaroon run to as many places we could find selling macarons on the island of Oahu.
Jawaiian Irie Jerk Restaurant in Kaimuki serves the best oxtail I’ve ever had. Not only was the oxtail portion EXTREMELY large, but it was the most tender and savory oxtail I’ve ever had.
Blue Water Shrimp and Fish Market at International Market Place has really tasty food, but it is very unfortunate that their system to cook and serve the food is severly flawed and their waits are way too long.
I would not hesistate to recommend The Whole Ox Deli if you are into meats and sandwiches!
Ichiriki Japanese Nabe Restaurant on Piikoi is up there in regards to nabe here in Hawaii. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for variety and good quality nabe!
I would definitely say that Fumi’s is a great alternative to Giovanni’s. With all the different plates that they sell, I am eager to return to try the rest of the menu!
Shabu Shabu King was average at best. It wasn’t too bad, but there are defintely better places out there to get some shabu shabu.
I would not hesitate to recommend Ailana Shave Ice to anyone who is looking to treat themselves to great shave ice! Great prices, nice and courteous workers, as well as great tasting shave ice make this one great place to visit!!
If you are starving and in need of massive portions of food, Da Kitchen will not disappoint. Though the prices look somewhat steep to begin with, it is definitely worth the amount of food you receive. Get ready for a food coma at Da Kitchen!
I wouldn’t highly recommend CJ’s New York Style Delicatessen and Restaurant in Hilton Hawaiian Village. There are better places to get a reuben for cheaper, and I would have to say this place was only average.
