Goh Kurosawa at The Dragon Upstairs

Thursday, March 18th, 2010

The Dragon Upstairs’ trio of Jazz greats, Satomi Yarizmo on Piano, Chris Roth on Bass, Shinya Yarizmo on Drums, will be joined by Goh Kurosawa and his incredible ability to evoke awesome sounds from the guitar on Saturday, March 20th 2010 from 9PM To Midnight for a Lyrical Jazz Night.

Blessed with a family encouraging musical appreciation Goh Kurosawa began attending symphony concerts at age three at the same time he began taking piano lessons. An accomplished musician in his teens, Goh earned praise & recognition for directing, orchestrating and arranging for his high school mandolin orchestra. Although he seemed to be on the path to a career as a conductor, Goh had, & has a desire to connect physically with his music leading him to make his musical journey playing guitar while still writing and composing his music.

Thus far it has been a phenomenal journey taking Goh to dozens of countries performing with hundreds of World renown musicians.  Goh has had the opportunity to grow as a musician, to further develop his technique and seek out unique forms of musical expression.

Honolulu is fortunate that Goh Kurosawa has chosen to land at The Dragon Upstairs for a Lyrical Jazz Night with an equally talented trio of musicians.  The cover is a modest $5, the venue, The Dragon Upstairs is priceless, and the Arts District Honolulu is Gold.
