The results from the world cup of surfing day 3 on the North Shore of Oahu are in and Dan Reynolds Steals the show.
The second day of action at the Vans World Cup of Surfing saw plenty of surf and a few standouts with Carissa Moore and Sunny Garcia battling it out.
Granger Larsen couldn’t make it out of the semis but Damien Hobgood and Courtney Conlogue of the USA could, and ended up making it a double American win in Australia.
Granger Larsen of Hawaii is still in the Telstra Drug Aware Pro as Mick Fanning, Kelly Slater, and Joel Parkinson are all out of the event.
While Granger Larsen is keeping Hawaii’s hopes alive at the Telstra Drug Aware Pro, Billy Stairmand was knocking out 10 time ASP champ Kelly Slater.
Huge surf made for some great action at the Telstra Drug Aware Pro in Australia. Granger Larsen and Kai Barger remain in the competition as do Kelly Slater and Mick Fanning.
Chelsea Hedges, the defending champion, had to perform at the top of her game. Gabi Cope and Malia Manuel did solid in their first rounds.
Hawaii couldn’t top the Brazilians in the home breaks as 20 year old Alejo Muniz came away with the first win of the ASP Prime events for the year.
The ASP Wrold Tour is still waiting in the wings but surfing is underway today as the Hang Loose Pro got going.
